Newscaster 3rd in Tough Allowance, 10.21

NEWSCASTER ran in the final race of the night last night at Remington Park, facing another stakes quality field in the tough allowance race. The race unfolded in similar fashion to his previous two starts at Remington, with his rival Warlock Doc going to the front end and getting loose on the lead. Newscaster tracked in second, but "Doc" was able to sprint to a clear lead, and never slowed down much. Newscaster made a move early to try to go for the win, and couldn't really make up much ground on the winner. He was caught by a head on the wire for second, but ran a great race. The top three finishers were actually in the exact same order as the last race, with the difference this time being Warlock Doc winning by three and a half lengths, with Newscaster being only a head behind He's a Suitor in second, who got him by almost two lengths in the last race.

Sue's Good News Family in Action around the Globe

TATWEEJ , the son of Tapit and Tiz Miz Sue, makes his return after skipping the races in Dubai last March on Saturday Evening in Saudi Arabia. With the ownership being based in Saudi Arabia, the plan was to run in the Dubai races last spring, and then stay and run in Saudi Arabia and Dubai this fall and next spring with an eye on the major races in the region such as the Saudi Cup (Grade 1) and the Dubai World Cup races. Though they skipped the races this past spring in Dubai, which was disappointing after he had won 4 of 5 starts, it's nice to see him back. The race goes off about 10:15 AM CST, and the website is a place to follow for information, and there is an English option.

Here in the States, SOUPER SENSATIONAL runs in the Grade 2 Raven Run at Keenland on Saturday Afternoon. Scheduled as the 9th race, it is a stacked field of three year old fillies. While this will insure that the filly will skip the filly and mare sprint at the Breeders Cup, it's still a major race and a chance to further enhance her and the family's resume. The race is about 4:15 CST, and is available on TVG and I believe either NBC Sports or Fox Sports 2.
