Cres Ran and Crescent Capital Updates. 1.29.21

Musical Millie got the season started for us at Sam Houston on Jan. 28th. When the NW4L $25,000 Claiming Race didn't fill, Millie was entered in an allowance race. With an eye towards using the race as a stepping stone for the next race, Millie was shuffled back a bit in the turn, and then just couldn't get a preferred path. Probably in a little too tough, she finished 8th, beaten about 3 lengths for third. She will be better placed in her next race. Millie is pictured in the paddock before the race.

As mentioned in our previous post, our Series 1 Offering's 1/2 sister Not on My Watch broke her maiden impressively in a hand ride at Laurel Park last weekend. The video of the race can be found here:

This weekend, on Jan 31st in Japan, Serein (2018 by Uncle Mo out of Tiz Miz Sue) runs in an allowance race at Kokura Race Course. The race, called the Kaimondake Tokubetsu, goes off as race 12 on the card over a 1700 meters.

Also this weekend, our trainer Steve Hobby gets his meet started at Oaklawn Park with Right Trappe in Race 7 on Saturday. Next week, he has the great mare Headland in Race 8 on Thursday. Finally, on Friday, we get to get our meet going with Flashy Biz. Much like Musical Millie above, we entered "Flashy" several times and the race didn't go, so we placed her in an Allowance race on Friday, Feb. 5th.

Have a great weekend at the races!
