The Belmont is this Weekend in New York, and as the last leg of the Triple Crown it is always a big race. I know we have a few partners at the race so hopefully they cash on some winners!

The favorites, like the Derby, is Essential Quality. I'm going a slightly different direction, though I think "EQ" is certainly a player:
Top Pick - Hot Rod Charlie
My top pick for the Belmont is Hot Rod Charlie. I was big on him in the Derby, though was bigger on some others, and he ran a great race in the Derby. I think skipping the Preakness in getting the extra rest is big, and by all accounts he is training well.
Underneath: Known Agenda. Rombauer and Bourbonic
My second pic, or second key is Known Agenda. He is training very well and Todd Pletcher has been on a hot streak. Like Hot Rod Charlie, I think skipping the Preakness will do him some good. He has the look of a stayer and I expect a good race from him. I think Rombauer will run well, but could be over-bet given the Preakness, and I'm a little worried about him "bouncing" after that big effort. The horse I like to possibly pick up the pieces is Bourbonic. He has the closing style and is back running out of his barn. He may just not be good enough, but certainly worth a shot as a long shot.

Newscaster is entered in the 8th race at Lone Star on Friday the 11th. He is entered on the turf for the first time, as his sire makes good turf horses and he is a half brother to a champion turf sprinter. Would prefer shorter for his first effort, but we shall see. Entries HERE
